A Juice & Smoothie Mash Up

It’s not quite a juice or a smoothie it’s both, so let’s call it a Juioothie! This is inspired from one of my indecisive moments when I couldn’t decide whether I wanted a juice or a smoothie. I felt like a green juice but I also felt like coconut water and blueberries in a smoothie so voila, this juice/smoothie (juioothie) was born!  It has the benefits of the concentrated nutrients from the green juice plus the whole berries and the electrolyte rich coconut water! Enjoy!

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) coconut water
4 – 6 kales leaves (Tuscan cabbage leaves)
    I used purple kale
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 zucchini (courgette)
1 cucumber
  • 4 strawberries
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) blueberries
1 handful of ice


  1. Wash all produce.
  2. Juice the kale, celery, zucchini and cucumber.
  3. Add the green juice and the remaining ingredients
    into the blender.
  4. Blend until smooth and enjoy!


Kale – spinach, lettuce
Celery – extra zucchini, cucumber
Zucchini – extra celery, cucumber
Cucumber – extra celery, zucchini
Strawberries – cherries, raspberries, blackberries
Bluberries – cherries, raspberries, blackberries
