Spiced Apple and Carrot Juice

Juice in a glass
By: Claire Georgiou, Reboot Naturopath, B.HSc ND

Everyone loves the combination of apples and carrots. They complement each other so well whether you’re juicing them, roasting them, or enjoying them in a salad. Adding spices to this delicious combination reminds me of carrot cake, but a much healthier version.

Cinnamon is known to help regulate blood sugars, cravings and appetite, and it may reduce cholesterol levels, along with some antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. While nutmeg has its own range of health benefits; It has antibacterial and antidepressant properties, and possibly helps protect against colon cancer. Turmeric and ginger also offer a range of health benefits. This juice has a particularly warming quality, with its fall- and winter-inspired spices.
