Tropi-Kale Coconut Juice

Sometimes coconut water from a carton isn’t the most refreshing taste in the world, but once you’ve tried it directly out of a coconut, hello tropical paradise. But fresh coconuts aren’t always available so it’s back to the carton we go. For this reason, many people aren’t huge fans of coconut water. One way to combat the flavor for non-fans is to combine half of a green juice with half of coconut water. When I think of drinking a green juice on the beaches of Bora Bora, I think this is what it would taste like.

  • 4 kale leaves
  • 2 apples
  • ½ lime, peeled
  • ½ cup (125 ml) chilled coconut water


  1. Wash all produce well.
  2. Peel lime.
  3. Add kale, apples, and lime through juicer.
  4. Add to a glass with cold coconut water and enjoy!
